Let’s be honest, a lot of us get a dog because we are seeking something that is missing from our lives, whether that be affection, attention, love, excitement, adventure, companionship –

But are you really ready for a dog?

Do you know that you cannot let dogs just figure things out on their own, you will have to lead and guide them for the remainder of their lives.

Do you know that you have to find a successful way to communicate with your dog? Did you know that often involves training?

Do you know that dogs have feelings and will act on them? How will you handle things when your dog acts in a way that is undesirable to you?

Do you know what a species appropriate diet would be for a dog?

Do you know how often your dog will need to be groomed?

Do you know that playing with your dog is more important than your dog playing with other dogs?

And do you know that you are adding a member to your family, therefore they should be treated as such and given opportunities to explore more areas than just your home?

Do you know?? Now you do!
