Learning Impulse Control through a Down Stay
I have had so many questions about how to even begin impulse control. Here is a video template of how you can get this started.
The four main impulse control activities I like to teach are:
Sit stay
Down stay
Place stay
Leave it
I typically like to teach it in the order listed above, but in this video I am starting with a down stay.
Once a dog is able to master one of those positions, the other ones will be acquired quite easily.
